Christmas, my favorite holiday is right around the corner and the Xmas preparations are already announcing the coming of a new holiday season.
Preparing for Christmas is filled with excitement for the young and the old and the in-between. According to old traditions, decorating home has always been very important, which includes the Christmas tree, the dinner table , the candles, the candy canes, the stockings and so many other decorative pieces that make the right atmosphere. In many countries a representation of the Nativity Scene is very popular. It is also traditional to decorate the outside of houses with lights and sometimes with illuminated sleighs, snowmen and other Christmas figures.
Getting the right Xmas atmosphere involves so much to do! I, for instance, have already acquired my Christmas table centerpiece.
The entire family will enjoy the mood of happiness and togetherness singing Xmas carols. Whether it is the gleam of hope in the children’s eyes, to meet the jolly old Santa, or a perfect occasion to have a family or guest get together, it will surely make each one of us smile.
Everybody, parents, grandparents, children and friends, will gather aroud the table on Christmas Eve, decorated with the perfect Xmas table centerpiece, and eat a great dinner.
Then will come the most exciting part, when the gifts that Santa has brought are open. A bunch of photos will be taken to commemorate the occasion and to remember how much we’ve grown in relations to last year.
Once again, Christmas Eve will be remembered as our favorite holiday, with oodles of excitement and cheer for everybody!
